Intensive protocols are used in pediatric therapy to address specific motor goals to improve of your child’s development! Intensive treatments conducted at Little Tracks follow the evidence-based ACQUIRE framework. The following intensive protocols are offered:

  • Pediatric Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (P-CIMT) for children with one-sided weakness following a central or peripheral nervous system injury.

  • Whole-Body Intensive Treatment for children with generalized neuromotor impairment (not specific to one side of the body)

These treatments will take place in your home, daycare, or the child’s natural environment, for at least 3 hours, every weekday for 4 weeks.

At this time, Little Tracks intensive treatments are out of network for insurance and are available through private-pay. A superbill may be provided for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement!

Traditional therapy services for children aged 0-3 are offered through South Carolina’s Early Intervention system, Babynet. Every state in the U.S.A. has an early intervention system that provides therapy services to children who qualify through standardized testing or through qualifying diagnoses (ex: cerebral palsy).

A parent can refer their own child to Babynet if they have concerns about their child’s development. Other times a doctor may refer a child to Babynet. Following a referral, a Babynet provider will schedule an evaluation. Following the evaluation they will let you know if your child qualifies for services.

If your child qualifies, Babynet treatments take place in your home between once a month- twice a week depending on your child’s needs.

Babynet bills your insurance for treatment. If additional costs are required, those costs are covered by the state.

If you are in the Babynet system and would like Little Tracks to provide your physical therapy services, please reach out to see if we have openings available!
